One of the biggest concerns for anyone moving house is the safety of their most precious possession or heirlooms. Most people have a horror story of breakages or losses incurred in past moves, and it’s something we are asked about on a regular basis.

 

Mardan takes great pride in ensuring that its customers never have to worry about that – we treat their valued objects as if they were our own. Before undertaking a move for our customers, we have a meeting with them to go through any specific requirements, so anything that needs particular care will be noted and we’ll talk about how best to transport them.

 

On the day of the move, our team will always discuss everything with the customer again, and any wrapping / packing and transporting specifics are verbally handed over to the move’s foreman and documented on the job sheet for the day, where necessary additional risk assessments are completed. 

 

Precious objects are often export wrapped to guarantee the ultimate care is taken.

 

Mardan has moved many unusual objects from chandeliers, sheep statues, tropical plants to sports cars. Recently we successfully transported a number of sculptures for a local collector.

 

Business moves also have their fair share of precious objects involved. When working for the Abbey Hotel in the centre of Bath, Mardan has packed, transported and delivered spa equipment, christmas decorations and industrial ovens. 

 

We are also extremely efficient when moving office items such as computers, laptops, printers, chairs and desks. A recent one weighing in at several tonnes in weight!
